Where I work

I have been meaning to do a post about where I work for a while now. I work at House of Fraser a department store here in the UK and some exciting things have been happening in store for A/W10 and I want to share them with you. We have the launch of iconic brand Biba on 9th September. Michael Kors and Marc Cain have also arrived in store.

Working here is fabulous as we stock some amazing brands including Mulberry and Chloe handbags. We also have the most amazing Cosmetic Hall stocking every premium brand imaginable my favorite has to be MAC for make-up, Aveda for hair care and Creme de la Mer for skincare.

On the International Designer Floor where I work we stock MaxMara, Hugo Boss, Stefenal, Michael Kors, Marc Cain, Joseph, Jaegar London and Vera Wang

The Contemporary Floor stocks some amazing High Street brands like Miss Selfridges, Whistles, Warehouse as well as diffusion lines like Sonia by Sonia Rykiel, D&G, Moschino, Paul & Joe Sister and Day Birger.

Highy recommend Day Birgers candles and room fragrances. My favorite is Modern

So this is where I work you can imagine where my wages go every month. Of course we stock a lot more lines but these are a few of my favorites. We also have a skin clinic where you can have everything from hair lasering to botox and teeth whitening. So what is your favorite Department Store????

Rock It

Jumpsuit Blue Inc, Gillet Nicole Farhi, Boots Nine West, Belt H&M

I was asked to go on Blue Inc website and pick an item to review and me being me went straight for the jumpsuit as you guys know I am a big fan of the jumpsuit and the fact it was black made it ever more of a bonus. I teamed it with a sheepskin gillet I am loving brown and black at the moment the two colours work really well together.The shape of the jumpsuit is amazing on and I love the fabric it is like a silk crepe and the elasticated legs gives fab volume check it out for yourself here.

Nostalgia

Dress Day Birger, Hat New Look, Clogs Bertie, Scarf H&M, Bag Chanel

I really do love the 70's and whenever I wear this floppy hat I feel my outfit takes on a vintage look. We have Biba launching next week and they want staff to dress in vintage style and I am so looking forward to dressing up I brought the most amazing leopard print long sleeve maxi dress from H&M yesterday which I feel has the most perfect Biba feel I cant wait to show you guys and I am going to team it with this hat.

A Furry Tale

When you think shearling boots you probably automatically think Ugg but thanks to Chanel's crazy but very inspiring A/W10 collection fur lined boots have taken on a new meaning and I have been checking out Spartoo to see what they have on offer and I am very impressed there is certainly a style of fur lined boot for every taste and style. My fav have to be the Morgan ones with the fabulous over the top fur cuff, buckles and straps very me they also come in black and are very affordable at £79.00.

These fur cuffed hiking boots by Tropeziennes are perfect if you want a boot to match this seasons must have aviator jacket the only problem would be what colour to pick hmmmmm.

OK so for you guys looking for something a little more formal but still working the furry trend these two pairs offer you just that, loving that platform on the Pedro Miralles bootie a very classic style.

I am so confused about what to wear at the moment and it is still raining so more indoor pictures with some editing this time. I mixed it up a bit I made this leg cuff last year from a dog collar, safety pins and chains so I thought I would team it with my leather shorts the ones I was telling you about the other day that I won on ebay arrived today so I am sure there will be a post very soon with them they are amazing and my search is now over.

Floral print and leopard print go together like stawberries and cream. I scored these Mary Quant floral leggings off ebay last year I am not a big fan of floral print but with the background of these being black it gives them a harder edge taking the cuteness out of the print.

Jumper Dress Farhi by Nicole Farhi, Shorts Next, Bag Ghost, Shoes Spartoo, Rings ASOS & H&M

The weather is really quite sad at the moment and today really was cold enough to wear this. I brought these leather look shorts from Next check them out here and they really are not that bad. I cant say that I am a big fan of brown but with camel being the new black this season I thought brown shorts would be a good investment. I am also wearing my new armour ring that arrived this morning from ASOS check it out here I used there free standard delivery and it said that it would not arrive until 31/08/10 and it came this morning will defo be using that delivery choice again.

I won a pair of vintage leather shorts on ebay last night I have been trying to win a pair for like forever I just hope I like them when they arrive I wanted a pair that were slightly baggy which these ones look like they are. I have also realised that my wardrobe lacks shorts so it is back to the cut offs. I always seem to find loads I like online and I go into the shops to try them on and have a look at them and they dont have them so frustrating. I know that I am going to live in shorts this season as they are all over the runways and they are a great alternative to trousers which I just cant get into for some reason I dont know why but I hate myself in trousers weird huh.

What does your wardrobe lack?????

Dare to Bare

I am so going to embrace the trend of bare legs, socks and boots as seen on the Marni, Rag & Bone and Marc by Marc Jacob runways to name a few. The only downside is that I am going to have to keep my legs tanned normally the A/W season means legs can be hiden under tights and forgotten about until the summer not for this season. I must admit I have really enjoyed the sock and shoe trend so I am happy that it was rolled over into A/W.

Express Yourself

Sometimes it is not always about fashion it is about expression. I am finding lately that there is no such thing as fashion of course there are trends this season is going to be the aviator jacket and anything shearling but fashion now a days seems to be more about expression. I would not say that there is nothing "fashionable" about what I am wearing today but it is my style and who I am.

I forgot I had this fringed leather jacket I got it back at the start of Spring and then it got a little too hot to wear it so I dug it out today I would say this outfit sums up my style at the moment leather, cowboy boots and cut offs this is how I feel most comfortable.

These are also another I confess new pair of cowboys boots that I scored in the sale from Spartoo they are by Buffalo.

Buckles, Straps & Hardwear

There is so many footwear trends around this season and with the stores and websites slowly giving us a taste of there A/W stock I thought I would check out what new arrivals Spartoo have. I really want my footwear this season to have serious hardwear from buckles, straps to studs. The trend this season is also bare legs and socks are going to replace tights eekkk I hear you shout but I think I will embrace this trend the weather does not get that seriously cold until November anyway so we have a few months to rock this look. So here are my top five new arrivals from Spartoo.

Two steps forward three steps back

Shirt Thifted, Cut offs Vinatge 501, Bag Miss Selfridges (old), Belt H&M, Cowboy Boots Bronx

This shirt has been such a great staple through the summer the only way I have not worn it yet is belted. I got a little inspiration from Paul & Joe they belted green shirts but teamed them with white shorts but me being me went with denim cut offs and a pair of cowboy boots what else.

Has anyone got the H&M app yet it is awesome highly recommend it. Some amazing things coming in to store for A/W xoxo

One Two Buckle my Shoe

My posts look like we are alreday in autumn but the weather here has changed and it does feel a little like autumn. Sorry for all the black but I am a fan of black at least this jumpsuit has a colour in it even it is the tie dye. My camera was playing up today and I was in a hurry so apologies for slightly blurred images. These boots have a Burburry feel about them and have shearling lining.
