I love tattooing!

I've been saving my pennies to get my back finished. I've got an appointment all set up for February 15th. I'm going for a marathon session (6+ hours), and then another marathon session a few weeks later to finish up my dragon. I'll post pics once it's done. I'm hoping to squeeze in time to put some pretty, colorful sunset mist in there, too, to tie all the pieces together for one big backpiece.

After the week I've had and the week I've got coming up, I deserve this... PAIN? Lol. It's a good kind of hurt:)

Rhymes

Annita wrote a cute journal entry yesterday about going to the grocery store with the kids and her daughter playing her little rhyming game while they waited at the deli counter. Katerina came up with a really good one... pee pee/sleepy. I asked Annita if I could use it in a poem (as long as I gave her little girl props for the awesome rhyme), and she said sure.

I started writing a sweet little poem about Ellie's day, but it just wasn't working. This is because I don't write rhyming poems. In fact, I pretty much suck at them.

So I'm gonna try again here, no pen, no paper, Just me and the keyboard. Maybe if I keep it short, it won't be so bad.

Ellie's Day

G'morning, Sweetpea, had a good rest?
Let's change your diapie, then get dressed.
Off to the kitchen, hurry, hurry up--
Let's get some milk, where is your cup?
Mmmm, breakfast, Cheerios, toast;
We like the cinnamon and raisin kind most.
Now that you've had something to eat,
Look! It's time for Sesame Street.
Mommy's gonna warm up the car, stay right there.
Ok, here's your coat, oh, let's comb your hair.
Into your carseat, snap, one, two.
Ready to roll? Where is your shoe?
Here we are at Teri's, ready to play?
I love you, honey; see you later today.
You play and you eat and then you get sleepy,
You sing and you dance and then you go pee pee.
A little while later and Daddy is there.
You always have so many things to share.
The two of you wait for Mommy, so sweet.
I come home and cook dinner for us to eat.
Then we play and laugh and dance and sing
Then it's BATHTIME, let's clean up all these things.
We wash and we splash and we dry and we dress,
Then cozy up and cuddle, which I like the best.
When the milk is all done it's time to brush your teeth
And then you finally rest your head for a good night's sleep.
G'night, Darlin', G'night My Love;
Tonight you'll be what I'm dreaming of.

Eh, not to bad for 10 minutes worth of writing. I can deal.

Doin' my happy dance:D

Last night, I was down on the floor, playing with Ellie like I do every evening after dinner. My little one was being especially cuddly with me (oh, how I love it), so much so that she was not only doing her usual kisses but giving great, big hugs too.

So she came in for a hug yet again, pulled back a little, looked me in the eye, and said, "I love you." Clear as day.

Harry came running around the kitchen counter yelling, "I heard that!"

We've been trying to get her to say it for a couple of weeks now. She hears us say it constantly to her, and lately we've asked her to repeat it to no avail.

So we were floored when she not only said it without a push from us, but said it in the correct context. Holy crap! LOL.

I'm one happy mama today:)

I decided to go short... and purple

I did it! I chopped lots o' hairs off me noggin. I love it. AND I put a purple streak in. It's a little hard to see in the pic, but it's there.

My cup runneth over

This is my new mantra.

I have a wealth of happiness nowadays. Even when I'm stressing, and the house is in ruins, and there's loads of laundry piled up, and the cat puked once again, I'm still happy.

When Harry and I met, we were still kind of trying to get over our last loves. We found comfort in the fact that we knew what the other was going through. It's a strange beginning to a relationship, but it worked for us. Along with having a lot in common, we understood where the other's head was at.

And slowly but surely, we both started to get over it. We helped each other on that road. A few months later, and we were both finally free from that hold those 2 people had over us.

Then we both lost our jobs. Harry's company (an aerospace parts manufacturer) closed down a month to the day after 9/11. My company laid me off 3 days before Christmas (talk about crappy timing). Together we struggled through this. We had each other's back. And in the meantime, we had oodles of hours in the day to spend with each other... the only upside to the whole thing.

We both got new jobs a few months later (the same job I'm at now), and moved on. Harry moved in with me about a year after we started dating. About 8 months after that, we got engaged.

About a year after our engagement we got married. We also got ourselves out of debt. We also bought 2 new cars. We had everything we needed to start our life, our family; most importantly, we had love.

After we finally conceived a child, it just got better and better. Ellie sealed the sweet deal with a big, fat, juicy baby-kiss.

And even though our living situation isn't ideal right now, my cup still runneth over. I'm so full of love and life, that I'm brimming with smiles. Sometimes my heart gets so full, that I feel like my body will flood if I don't cry that passion and joy out.

I have everything, everything, everything. How many people can claim that?
