An Old Boot

I have owned these cowboy boots for so long I cant even remember where I got them from but all day today people kept asking me where they were from and I had to keep telling them that I could not remember. I have been curling my hair I think curls look great in the summer gives you that laid back beachy look I took these pictures at the end of the day so it does not look as fresh as it did first thing this morning. I had a look at H&M sale today what a load of crap I am not even sure if this is there real sale as all they have done is pulled all of the crap from the back of the store that has been there forever to the front with a few new pieces added hardly a sale. The wood ring was a present from my friend Dan Dan and the four stacked ones I got today from H&M a bargain £3.99 had to buy something :)

Summer Breeze

I have two days off so yesterday with the sweltering heat I decided to get away from it and headed to the coast armed with my SPF40. It was so beautiful with the cooling sea breeze and warm water yes the sea was warm it was the best place to be. I love this beach as it is not commercialized and it has sand and not pebbles and of course being a week day it was really quiet. I seem to be living in denim cut offs at the moment sorry if you a getting a little fed up with seeing me in them. If you are wondering what that yellow thing is slung over my shoulder it is my sandals lol.

So the summer seems to of arrived fingers crossed it will last more than a couple of days but if not I have picked my top ten rock chick inspired items that will rock when the sun shines but be just as practical and still stylish if it turns wet or chilly and they are all under £40.00.

2 This gorgeous knitted dress from Topshop is great for a festival look with a difference and can be teamed with shorts or leggings or just worn on it's own.
3 Topshop have some great printed Harem trousers but these have to be my favorite and at £28.00 a total bargain.

4 This season's dress is the maxi and with this on trend palm print this one by Dorothy Perkins is spot on amd only £32.00

5 Wedges are my absolute favorite and you cant go wrong with these great ones from Boo Hoo and only £40.00.
6 These skorts from Topshop are so hot and girly but the leopard print give them that oh so cool rock chick look.

7 Now no girl can be without something waterproof as the weather can change so quick and this pack a mac from ASOS in on trend leopard print is spot on and only £20.00.

8 this racer back studded top from New Look has an All Saints feel about it and is a bargain £28.00

9 This cute animal print crop top from New Look can be worn on its own or you could put a lace body or vest under it if the weather turns a little chilly and only £18.00.
10 Had to be a pair of gladiators from New Look to finish off any outfit love that they have a slight wedge and they also come in black.

I brought these gorgeous cat eye leopard print sunglasses today from H&M and a bargain at £6.99 I popped in quickly on my lunch break they are so cool and I wanted to share them with you. I am also wearing my MAC Neon Orange lippy I always wear this when the sun shines.

Shades of Rhythm

Hope everyone is enjoying this gorgeous weather it is so nice to drag out some of my summer wardrobe this dress is so old I got it from Topshop but it never fails me I have not worn it for a few years so I thought it deserved an outing. Another pair of knee high gladiators these ones are by Jeffery Campbell and are now a couple of years old.

I have not brought anything in the sales yet well apart from the Nicole Farhi wedges. I was not really that impressed with Topshop's sale to be honest. I do have a pair of shoes put by that I am hopefully going to pick up on Friday. I think shoes are always a great thing to buy in sale more of an investment.

Boots and Denim

As you guys are totally aware I love boots with cut offs yeah gladiators look great but I just love the hardness of a boot so rock chic. I have found some fab ones and they are all in the Spartoo sale. The boot make of choice for a real rock chic look has to be FRYE and Spartoo have a great selection all in sale check them out here. I think these FRYE biker boots are just perfect and even better with 30% off.

I really love these three pairs of destressed leather boots. They would all look so cool with cut offs. My favorite have to be the chelsea boot style by Mosquitos they have a great vintage feel to them and the ankle style makes them perfect to wear in warmer weather they would also look cute teamed with a floral dress.

Summer Time

Top Topshop, Sun Visor Gucci, Gladiators ebay

Summer is finally here in the UK. I brought this top last year from Topshop I love the design at the back and the cute little pink flamingos. I brought the sun visor last year too from ebay I really hate the sun on my face and this is a perfect solution.

I have also been self tanning my friend gave me a bottle of Famous Dave's Tanning Mousse have any of you guys used it I am quiet impressed and it has a lovely almond smell to it.

She did not let me down

I love Kate Moss their are some real great style icons out there old and new but I always have to come back to Kate. She did not let me down at the Isle Of Wight festival and of course she rocked her cut offs again and with boots which is one of my favorite looks and how awesome is that scarf total love.

Dress Topshop, Shirt Thifted, Boots New Look, Necklace Topshop (old)

This is the military shirt I got from the car boot sale for £2.00 I have not had a chance to wear it yet so I wore it yesterday I love wearing it open like a jacket.

I popped into Topshop on my lunch break and their shoes have gone into sale and they looked like they were prepping for sale so I think they will probably go in tomorrow for all of you guys that are waiting. Their was a few bits that I wanted to get but I think I will wait.

Cut Offs Levis, Top New Look, Wedges Mia, Necklace Topshop (old), Bag Linea, Ring ebay

I am so loving cut off Levis 501 this is the second pair that I have scored off ebay. I think they make the best cut offs. My mum and sister were watching me the other night distressing these with a cheese grater and wondering what the hell I was doing I made such a mess there was blue fluff everywhere. I brought this black mesh top from New Look on Monday and I have not had a chance to wear it yet I love it and I can see me getting a lot of wear from it.

Biba

I work at House of Fraser a department store here in the UK and something exciting happened last October they acquired Biba and they will be launching the collection in September 2010 the store that I work in has been chosen to stock it. It will have two different labels Biba Blue will be denim and Biba Gold will be limited edition pieces with a higher price point. As a big fan of the seventies style I have to say I am massively excited about this.

Biba in the 1960's and 1970's was a first of its kind and offered high fashion to the young it was started by Barbara Hulanicki. My floor manager actually worked for Biba for five years and I love hearing about her stories and the clothes she wore which she has kept. My mum also shopped there in the 1970's as a young girl her first purchase was a lipstick. Sadly after disagreements over creative control Barbara Hulanicki left the company in 1975 and the store closed shortly afterwards.

Biba was relaunch in May 2006 under designer Bella Freud. The new collection was unveiled at London Fashion Week in September 2006 but unfortunately it did not last long and this is where House of Fraser comes into the equation.

Busy Busy Busy

I have been so busy at work the last couple of days we went into sale on Tuesday and this is a very busy time for us who work in retail. I finally had time to treat myself and I brought these awesome Nicole Farhi wedges that have been reduced from £285 to £145 I have had my eye on them for a while so I picked them up today.

Cut Out

Top Topshop, Harems H&M, Wedges Ebay

I have been looking for a cut out top for ages and yesterday I found this one in Topshop I love the military print and the colour works perfectly with my harems. It is such a great feeling when you find something that you have wanted for ages I was even considering buying a swimsuit but the cut out ones I found had a little too much cut out at the front and then there was the practical problem of wearing a swimsuit with trousers ;) if you get want I mean.

How annoying the dress I wanted from French Connection the one I told you about here did not go into sale but I had a back up plan I found one on ebay that was £30.00 cheaper so I have just brought it. I wore this last night to a friends BBQ. I am wearing my new slave bracelet. I got this vintage jumpsuit off ebay last year.

Crystals

The sun has finally appeared after about a week of grey skies. I love crystals and I always feel that I can wear my semi precious and crystal jewellery in the summer. The sun also cleanses the crystals of negative energy. My favorite stones to wear are turquoise and rose quartz turquoise is for protection and rose quartz is for love.
This kaftan is a couple of years old now it is from Nicole Farhi S/S08 collection this was actually one of my favorite collections of hers.
